New Taco Bell Merch Collection Shows How Any Brand Can Get In on Back-to-School
August 27, 2019 |
As of tomorrow, we’re officially one month away from the last day of summer, which means back-to-school shopping is in full swing. While all the local retailers like Target, Walmart and Staples will be packed with teachers and students, those aren’t the only places to stock up on school supplies. That’s because Taco Bell is now selling an entire collection of back-to-school branded merchandise.
The company has definitely shown to be far ahead of most of its peers when it comes to branded promotional products. You’ve probably heard about Taco Bell’s merch-heavy promotional hotel that sold out in minutes, but in case you haven’t, here’s a quick overview: Taco Bell put together 70 rooms in its Palm Springs hotel that was decked out with branded Taco Bell bedding, pillows, artwork and more, and the rooms sold out instantly. Just one example of how well Taco Bell knows its audience.

For fans of previous Taco Bell creations—and no, we’re not just talking about their Mountain Dew Baja Blasts—there’s something for everyone in this collection. Plus, you don’t have to be heading back to school to enjoy it. It includes:
- DIFF Eyewear blue-light blocking glasses
- Taco Bell branded T-shirts, leggings, joggers and sweatshirts
- Backpacks, notebooks, writing utensils and more
Prices range from $5 to $85, which, is about the same as other comparable back-to-school supplies.
The Taco Bell collection is a great look at how almost any brand can get in on back-to-school promotional items. For example, branded DIFF Eyewear glasses could work for any client in the tech market that wants to reach high school or college kids. Branded backpacks, pencils and notebooks work for all age levels. Likewise for apparel (as long as the designs are in line with current fashion trends).
There are plenty of options when it comes to back-to-school items, and Taco Bell totally killed it with the options they released for this collection. Who know, maybe the next release will be a spooky, taco-themed haunted house?
